| The 4th International Meeting |

IIITC completed its Phase II Expansion on the 10th anniversary of the Centre in 1999 and the occasion also marked its transformation from the International Intraocular Implant Training Centre (IIITC) to the Tianjin Medical University Eye Centre (TMUEC). In order to mark the 10th anniversary of IIITC, a grand international conference under the theme of New Horizons in Cataract & Refractive Surgery in the 21st Century was jointly organized by Asia Pacific Intraocularr Implant Association, World Cataract Surgeons and Tianjin Medical University Eye Centre from 10-15 September 1999 in Tianjin Sheraton Hotel. The 12th ICIMRK Meeting, the 2nd Worldcats International Meeting and the 4th IIITC International Meeting were well-attended with 140 Chinese and 57 foreign delegates from 15 countries. |
