The 1st Worldcats International Meeting in conjunction with the 3rd IIITC International Meeting was held from 20-24 September,1996 in Tianjin. The World Cataract Surgeons (Worldcats) is an international movement of eye surgeons dedicated to the control of mass cataract blindness in developing countries around the world and especially in Asia.The founding chairman of Worldcats is Prof. Arthur Lim from Singapore National Eye Centre.
