Tianjin Eye Meeting is the 1st international meeting organized by International Intraocular Implant Training Centre Tianjin China (IIITC) from May 18-20, 1991, since its establishment in September of 1989. The theme of the meeting was entitled "The Controversies in Ophthalmology" and there were 140 Chinese delegates coming from different parts of China and 65 foreign delegates from 15 countries attending the meeting and 58 papers were presented.
